Harvey Penick Golf Campus
Harvey Penick Golf Campus
The Harvey Penick Golf Campus is a PGA TOUR-designed 112-acre facility that serves as a valuable community resource for new and experienced golfers alike. The campus was named after a legendary teacher, Harvey Penick, former head pro at the Austin Country Club, UT Golf Coach and author (with Bud Shrake) of the best-selling sports book of all time, Little Red Book. Harvey Penick taught golf to thousands, from Ben Crenshaw, Tom Kite, Kathy Whitworth, and Mickey Wright to weekend golfers looking for a better swing. And Penick is famous for his love of teaching kids the game he believed imparts so many life skills.
All can play and learn on the campus, nestled in the heavily wooded, gently rolling hills of east Austin. The scenic 9-hole course features a natural water hazard, Walnut Creek. As soon as you step onto the campus, you’ll recognize and appreciate the effort we made to preserve the natural beauty of this spectacular park-like environment.
The Harvey Penick Golf Campus features:
The Penick Course
This nine-hole course features a combination of par 3 and par 4 holes, appropriate for all ages, genders, and skill levels. You may walk the course or rent a cart.
Harvey’s Short Course

Practice Areas
Overlooking the beautiful Walnut Creek valley, the practice putting and chipping greens, along with a driving range, provide the perfect place to refine your game.
